Website redesign Adelaide

A website rebuild is a chance to make your business clearer online and make the next step easier for customers. I review what your current site already does, then plan the content, design and changeover around what the new site needs to achieve.

Keep the useful parts. Give the next version a clear plan.

Understand the existing website before replacing it

Your current website holds more than a collection of page designs: it has addresses people may have saved, content that answers real questions and links from other websites.

I start by listing the existing pages and understanding which services, enquiries and business priorities they support.

If you have Search Console or analytics access, that information can help identify pages people already find and the paths they take through the site.

The review also covers forms, phone links, bookings and any external tools your customers use.

That creates a practical basis for deciding what to retain, improve, combine or retire, with each decision tied to the new site's purpose.

Review the changeover page by page

Your redesign plan should identify where each useful page will live, what information it needs and what happens to its old address.

I record these decisions before the new site takes over, then test the agreed destinations after launch.

For an Adelaide business with several services, that can mean keeping an established service page, combining genuinely overlapping explanations and giving a new service its own complete page.

DecisionWhat I recordWhat you review
Keep a pageThe current address, purpose and content to retainThe service is still accurate and relevant
Improve a pageThe questions, evidence and enquiry path to addThe proposed copy and useful project examples
Move or combine pagesThe closest equivalent destination and redirectThe replacement answers the original visitor intent
Retire an old offerWhether an explanation or removal is appropriateThe service is genuinely no longer offered
Check the launchKey URLs, navigation, forms and search settingsThe agreed sign-off and follow-up scope

Turn the new brief into a better customer journey

A redesign can bring your most useful service information closer to the point where a visitor needs it.

That might mean a clearer service menu, a better explanation of your process, a more useful project gallery or a shorter route to an enquiry.

I write and arrange the pages around your actual Adelaide service offering, so the new structure reflects your business rather than the limitations of the old layout.

On mobile, I look at the order of the content and the space around buttons and form fields as well as the visual design.

You're able to review the proposed pages and give feedback before the new site takes over from the current version.

The project brief records which existing assets can be reused and what new information you need to supply.

Give each old address a deliberate next step

Keeping an existing page address can make sense when the new page serves the same purpose and the address is already useful.

When a page moves, a permanent redirect can send visitors and search engines from the old address to its relevant replacement.

I map those changes individually, including any important service pages and articles, so the redirect destination matches the content someone was trying to reach.

Pages about services you've genuinely stopped offering need a separate decision about whether to retain an explanation or retire the content.

Search results can change during a rebuild, which is why the page inventory, redirect map and pre-launch baseline belong in the project scope.

After launch, the new site needs checks on the important addresses and the way Google is discovering the updated pages.

Plan the practical changeover

Domain access, hosting, business email and third-party tools each have a role in the changeover, and I identify those dependencies before the launch date is agreed.

Your business email can remain with its existing provider when that's the right arrangement, with the website changes scoped separately.

The new website stays available for review while the existing site continues to serve customers.

The launch checks cover the page addresses, navigation, mobile layout, enquiry path and any agreed measurement setup.

Your quote sets out the migration work included, the approvals needed and the post-launch support so the responsibilities are clear.

Send the current website address and the main changes you have in mind, and I'll help turn them into a considered rebuild scope.

Ask about your project
Can you rebuild a website from a website builder?

Yes, I can assess a site built on a hosted website platform and plan its replacement. The migration scope depends on what can be exported, which assets you own and which features need to work on the new website.

Can my current website stay live during the rebuild?

The usual approach is to build and review the replacement separately while the existing site stays live. The final changeover happens after the agreed checks and approvals, with domain and hosting access arranged beforehand.

What happens to my current Google rankings?

Existing rankings are part of the migration planning where reliable data is available. I use relevant URL decisions, useful content retention and launch checks to support continuity, while recognising that search positions can change and Google controls its results.

Can you keep the same domain name?

Yes, a redesign can keep your existing domain name. I'll confirm where the domain is managed, what access is needed and how the website change connects with your current hosting and business email arrangements.

Do I need to rewrite every page?

Useful, accurate content can carry forward into the new website. The review identifies where a page already does its job and where clearer wording, additional service detail or a different structure would better support customers.

What should I send for a redesign quote?

Send the current website address, the services you want to prioritise and the main changes you'd like. It's also helpful to mention any booking tools, customer logins, online payments or other features that need to continue working.

What would you like your business to do next?

Share your website, search or design brief and I'll help you define the next step.
